The company increased sales in the first 3 months by 25% achieving total sales of 3.19€ million in the first quarter of 2010, easily beating the total of 2.58€ million for the same period last year. These positive results show that the top end of the Spanish residential market is well on the road to recovery. Furthermore, Engel & Völkers has signed up four new franchises around Spain, in a further sign of growing confidence in the market. The improvement in Spain is in line with Engel & Völkers Group performance worldwide, which reported 26% increase in sales totalling 33.5€ million in the first quarter as opposed to 26,7€ million for the same period in 2009.
