We use Statistics Norway's quarterly house price index, gathered from house price data from major real estate agencies. Quarterly time-series are available from 1992.
The Norwegian Association of Real Estate (NEF) also releases monthly sq. m. prices for the "average home" (about 100 m2, '), extending back to 2002.

Adjusting house price rises (or declines) for inflation produces a more accurate picture of the change in value of housing than the usual nominal figures cited in the newspapers.
