Every day a huge volume of ships sail in and out of Jebel Ali, which has the biggest artificial port in the world. Still under construction is the Dubai World Central Airport, which aims to be the biggest airport worldwide, carrying 120 million passengers a day.
To balance the area’s busy energy, Jebel Ali’s downtown area will allot 50% of beautiful outdoor landscaping for its residents, workers and visitors.
Downtown Jebel Ali
Downtown Jebel Ali consists of four residential/commercial areas, with modern, high-rise residential buildings right next to offices and near restaurants and shops. Half of the area consists of landscaped open spaces.
Conveniently situated along Sheikh Zayed Road near the Dubai Waterfront and the Jebel Ali Free Zone (which attracts multinational corporations by offering business and tax incentives and warehousing facilities), Downtown Jebel Ali is also close to the Jebel Ali’s seaport and the new international airport and its industrial zones. It is in the middle of Dubai’s largest new commercial area.
One of its districts, The Medina, will feature more modest, low-rise residential buildings with small green spaces, perfect for families.
