Ding Cong

Dinh Cong is a new urban area for mid- to high-income earners in Hanoi. The development was constructed to answer the increasing housing demands in the city, and features a high standard of comfort and living. The area has well-developed infrastructure and basic services such as schools, hospitals, supermarkets and parks. It enjoys the perks of fitness clubs, tennis courts and swimming pools.

Dinh Cong was once largely cultivated for rice and vegetable farming. It was the largest supplier of fresh produce in the city. Now that all tillable lands have been given up for more housing developments, some local residents have turned to the rooms-for-rent business, while others put up small businesses or become manufacturing workers. There are now about 2,000 rooms for rent, belonging to different households.
