Gracia, just walking distance from Barcelona’s centre, is a young area, which has many charming historic squares where people like to hang out, giving it a village-like character.
Its many trendy bars, nightclubs, and restaurants appeal to a youthful crowd. With all its popular establishments, Gracia can get noisy, but overall it is a pleasant place to live. The Festes de Gràcia, with its free concerts and outdoor partying, is a popular summer event.
There are many lovely parks here, including Parc de la Crueta del Coll with its swimming lake and World Heritage Site Parc Güell, which was designed by Antonio Gaudi.
