Super Bowl XLVII Century 21 real estate ad rides on social media highsAn encouraging push in American consumer confidence had been widely perceived in the variety of Super Bowl 2013 advertisements.

With an estimated $4-million in advertisement cost to buy a 30-second spot on CBS during the NFL championship game, a one minute could roughly amount to $8 million, excluding the production expense in making the ad.

Real estate firm Century 21 had been visible with its one-minute and pre-game teasers that could reflect the bullish sentiment towards residential buying in the United States.

Century 21’s 2013 ad during the game on Sunday had ran the familiar mother-in-law joke and irked some viewers, but it was still a welcome move for agents still trying to make a sell.

According to research firm Nielsen, an estimated 108 million viewers kept tab of the game and its half-time performances in spite a power outage at the New Orleans Superdome.

Mashable.com reports that social media activity was 3 times more popular than the 2012 game.

Citing the social media analysis made by Trendrr.com, Mashable said there has been 52.56 million social media activity of the Super Bowl on popular social media platforms Twitter,

Facebook and Instagram compared to the 17.45 million recorded in 2012.

Although it is hard to tell if the visibility will translate to actual sales needed by Century 21, advertising and social media experts are confident that out of the growing 194,000 views, getting three to five home buyers for the entire year would not be so bad.
