The second largest tower in Asia will go up in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi. Set to be built in the Tu Liem district by the Japanese firm Nikkei Sekkei for the Petro Vietnam Construction Joint Stock Corporation, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, the Ocean Group and the SSG Group, it will consist of 102 storeys and stand 528 metres high.

The tower will cost $1.2 billion to build, and construction will begin in 2011. It is part of a complex that will include offices, hotels and apartment complexes.
