House prices in India The National Housing Bank (NHB) publishes a quarterly house price index for India called Residex. It is based on actual transaction prices, and covers house prices in many different regions of India. The quarterly data started in 2010, following a brief previous period of bi-annual data releases.

This table shows the change in house prices during a single quarter, adjusted for inflation.
Adjusting house price rises (or declines) for inflation produces a more accurate picture of the change in value of housing than the usual nominal figures cited in the newspapers.
